We are a group of liberal thinking, truth seeking, spiritual individuals from diverse religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and lifestyles.
We join together with open minds and hearts, emphasizing complete freedom of belief and the unrestricted use of reason in our unending quest for meaning and higher purpose. Through open discussion and the democratic process, we strive for greater individual tolerance in our personal lives and in the life of the larger community. We draw our inspiration from many sources and traditions and welcome all persons without regard to age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other type of class exclusion. |
| | History |
|
The Unitarian Universalist Church Of Pueblo was organized in 1958. Our original building across from City Park was designed by Elizabeth Wright Ingraham, granddaughter of Frank Lloyd Wright, and constructed in 1962. We outgrew that space and moved to our current site on the east side in September, 2005.
| Membership | |
|
Still a small congregation, we are currently enjoying our greatest growth ever: each Sunday we welcome our diverse membership as well as several visitors and our Church School is growing at an even faster pace.
| Worship | |
| The Sunday service is sermon-oriented with music and an opportunity for individuals to share the joys, concerns and significant milestones in their lives. When our minister is away, a guest speaker from the community or the congregation—as well as an occasional visiting minister—will fill the pulpit. Following the service there is a time to enjoy refreshments and fellowship. | |
![]() | Religious Education |
| Our Church School classes cover all grades and meet during the worship service, with child care for infants. During the week we have occasional adult classes on a variety of religious subjects. |

![]() | Social Activities |
| From summer picnics and family camping to ongoing small-group discussions and art-house movies, a variety of events are scheduled to continue the process of getting to know each other better and, thereby, be better able help each other when needed. | |
![]() | Community Involvement |
| With our commitment to act on our concerns about the life of the larger community, we encourage individual citizens to involve themselves in projects and organizations that affect our area, our nation and our world. |
